Description

5 Days in Swedish Lapland during spring break to Discover the Winter Magic of Piteå.

We take care of everything from your arrival to your departure. This is a week featuring traditional meals, outdoor lunches, and unique experiences that you share with your fellow travelers. Our tours combine nature and active adventures; you will chase the Northern Lights, go dogsledding, enjoy snowshoe hikes, and experience the thrill of driving a snowmobile.

During the week we create the opportunity to find the best fika in town and shop for souvenirs to remember it by. Evenings are for social chats, were your guide will prepare a nice meal to enjoy together to finish the day. One evening we will go out after dinner to hunt for the northern lights and drink a warm drink while looking out for the green lights. It will be a week full of creating new memories around the fire, adventure and fun stories.

Adventure, Nature & Adrenaline

Your accommodation for the week is located in a small village within the Piteå Municipality. This unique location in the Swedish forest offers nothing but snow, trees, and rivers as your surroundings. If you are a solo traveler, you will share a room with another traveler (single beds), though a request can be made for a private single room.

This is a fully guided, full board holiday with all transfers provided. We will meet you at the airport and take you directly to your accommodation. For every planned tour, we pick you up and bring you back afterwards. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included. Experience the snowy magic of Piteå with the “Lapland Experience” and book your unforgettable week today.

How to prepare

How to Prepare for Your Direct North scandinavian Adventure

We will provide you with all necessary information upfront, including your planned itinerary with starting times and tour durations.

When visiting Piteå, temperatures can vary, but will most likely be freezing (-5 up to -25). To ensure a safe and comfortable experience during our 3–4 hour outdoor activities, we highly recommend dressing according to the “three-layer principle” and bringing winter gear.

Essential Packing List: The Layering System

The key to staying warm is wearing multiple layers that trap air and wick moisture. Do not pack cotton—it holds moisture and will make you cold.

1. Base Layer (Closest to the Skin)

  • Thermal Underwear: Long-sleeved top and pants made from Merino wool or synthetic material (non-cotton).
  • Wool Socks: Several pairs of thick wool socks.

2. Mid Layer (Insulation)

  • Fleece or Wool Sweater: A warm fleece jacket, wool sweater, or down vest to layer over your base layer.
  • Fleece/Wool Trousers: Or thick leggings to wear under your ski pants.

3. Outer Layer (Protection)

  • Waterproof/Windproof Ski Clothing: A high-quality, insulated, and windproof jacket and ski/snow pants. This layer protects you from the wind and snow.

Accessories

  • Warm Winter Boots: Insulated, waterproof boots with thick, non-slip soles. Make sure they are roomy enough to wear thick wool socks without being tight.
  • Mittens: Mittens are much warmer than gloves as they allow your fingers to share warmth. Bring waterproof and insulated mittens.
  • Hat/Beanie: A warm hat that covers your ears.
  • Buff: Essential for covering the neck and lower face.

Other essentials:

  • Travel insurance
  • Travel documents
  • Adventure spirit!
