Direct North Travel is a fully registered tour operator. We have arranged a statutory Travel Guarantee with Kammarkollegiet (The Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency) in accordance with the Swedish Travel Guarantee Act (Resegarantilagen).

What the Guarantee Covers

The Travel Guarantee is a financial protection system designed to safeguard you, the traveler. It ensures that you receive compensation if any part of your package trip or linked travel arrangements is cancelled in the event that we should become insolvent.

The guarantee covers:

  • Refunds: Compensation for the unfulfilled part of the package trip or linked travel arrangement that we are responsible for.

  • Repatriation: Transportation home if you are already traveling when the insolvency occurs.

  • Accommodation: Costs for accommodation if the trip is interrupted.

Who is Covered?

The Travel Guarantee applies to travelers who have purchased a Package Tour with us. A package tour generally consists of a combination of at least two of the following services, lasting more than 24 hours or including an overnight stay:

  1. Transport (e.g., transfers, flights arranged by us).

  2. Accommodation (e.g., hotels, cabins, igloos).

  3. Other tourist services (e.g., dog sledding, guided tours, snowmobile safaris).

Registration Details

Our travel guarantee is registered with Kammarkollegiet. You can view our registration status and verify the validity of our guarantee via the public search register found at the Kammarkollegiet website.
