Yes, they are! Our huskies are working dogs, so they are different from traditional pets, but they love getting cuddles and affection from us, our guides, and our guests.
Just like humans, every dog has its own personality. This means not all dogs are outgoing or eager to cuddle with everyone. Some prefer to stick with us, and that is completely okay! Our guides at the kennel are more than happy to introduce you to the dogs and share their stories, as each one has its own distinct character.

What happens to the huskies when they get older?
It completely depends on the dog, as every dog gets its own custom retirement plan.
Some dogs stay with us forever because they would be heartbroken to leave their pack. They step into the role of grandma or grandpa, helping us socialize and train the puppies. Other dogs retire to a cozy family home with one of our guides, a local family, or sometimes even guests who fell in love with them during a tour!
Most importantly, we always listen to our dogs. Some choose to retire early, while others never really want to stop and stay part of a team that matches their current pace and ability.

What is Dogsledding?
Dogsledding is a traditional Arctic method of transportation where a team of trained, energetic working dogs pulls a sled across snow, guided by a driver called a musher. During a tour, you can either ride as a passenger or learn to drive your own team as you slide through winter landscapes.
