Description

Step into the heart of nature with our relaxing 2 hour husky hike through the stunning wilderness of Piteå. This experience is perfect for families and those seeking a slower-paced adventure where the focus is on the connection with nature rather than the distance covered. Throughout the journey, your guide will share fascinating insights into the Swedish forest, revealing the natural wonders and secrets that make this landscape truly special.

What to Expect during the tour

Your adventure begins at our base with a welcome and tour explanation. We provide professional trekking equipment to ensure your comfort throughout the tour. You will be fitted with a trekking belt that sits around your hips. This allows the husky’s power to be distributed evenly and, most importantly, keeps your hands free.

The magic truly begins at the kennel. Your guide will introduce you to the pack and pair you with a dog that complements your walking pace and strength. Whether you need a calm, steady companion or an energetic partner, we find the perfect match for a good team.
Once paired, we set off into the forest. As we hike, the silence of the forest is broken only by the soft padding of paws and the rustle of pine needles. Your guide will lead the way, pointing out wildlife tracks and intresting fauna.

No Swedish adventure is complete without Fika. In the middle of the forest we will take a break. We will have a drink (depending on the weather, a warm or cold drink) with a snack. This is the moment to sit back and watch your husky relax by your side—a true moment of “Lagom” (just the right amount of everything).

As we find our way back to the kennel. When we return you can help giving the dogs fresh water. You also have some time for cuddles, photos, and belly rubs. It’s the perfect end to a morning spent out in nature.

Why is this hike special?

  • Hands-Free Trekking: Our professional belts make the hike accessible and less tiring.
  • Personalized Pairing: We don’t just give you a dog; we find you a partner.
  • Small Groups: We keep our tours intimate to ensure a peaceful atmosphere and personal attention from your guide.
  • Educational: We share our knowledge, both from the huskies and the forest.

Can you drive a car on the roads during winter?

Yes you can! All renatal cars are equipt with good winter tires to drive on the roads. the roads are maintained very well. Ofcourse you always need to keep an eye out for wild animals and icy conditions.

But something very unique and cool thing driving in winter is that you can drive on the ice. In our area you have special ice roads for cars. These roads are usually opened at the end of January or the beginning of February. They lead into the archipelago, which means you are driving on the sea! This is a highly recommended experience.
