Is it worth visiting Piteå, Swedish Lapland during the darker days?

Because Piteå is located just south of the Arctic Circle , it does not experience the very dark polar night where the sun remains completely below the horizon all day. However, its winter days are still incredibly short, with the sun hanging very low on the horizon.
