What kind of food is served for lunch?

We are proud to serve authentic, local food that reflects the culinary heritage of Swedish Lapland.

Our signature lunch include:

  • Suovas (for Dogsledding): A traditional Sámi specialty of lightly smoked reindeer meat, sautéed over an open fire and served in soft flatbread with wild lingonberries.
  • Trail Cooking (for Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing & Snowshoeing): Meals prepared partly or fully over an open fire like a stew, grill sausages or pancakes.

When you have booked an entire holiday inclduing meals, we make sure we do not repeat any dishes. This way you have the possibility to try and experience different flavours along the week.

  • Is food or Fika included in the price of my tour?

    Fika is included

    • A cozy Swedish fika (coffee, tea, hot berry juice, and sweet treats) is fully included in the price of almost all our tours.
    • Because these dogsledding runs are focused entirely on the thrill of the trail, a formal fika break is not included during the tour itself. However, you are of course warmly welcome to grab a cozy cup of hot coffee or tea at our base camp either before we head out or right after we return!

    Lunches

    • For our Storforsen Waterfall Tour and mushind day, a lunch is already included in the price.
    • For our other tours (dogsledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing), lunch is not included but can easily be booked as a paid add-on.
